Here's a short video of me getting interviewed for television during the September 15 Independence Day Parade! That was quite the experience!

This is where I keep my wealth when I'm out and about!

Pupusa night out... what good food! And the whole shebang cost about $3 for my food!

Kan and I in the rain in front of the church... The people thought we were crazy. I was almost cold that day; amazing! I am wearing Kan's skirt.

Upon our return home that evening...

My roomie and I. So grateful that she is here with me!

Waiting... I am becoming proficient at this!

Here are just a few pictures from the last few days of Honduras Adventure! This giant grasshopper jumped into our house the other night while we were letting the girls in, and landed on my leg! I quickly sent him on to another landing pad, while Kandice and Sasha ran SCREAMING into the kitchen! I can't recall what I was more scared of: the bug or the girls screaming! I grabbed a pot, and clapped the fellow into the dungeon, from whence we then extradited him to a tupperware for viewing purposes. *Sidenote* He tasted a little like chicken, but with a little more crunch. Maybe like fried chicken.

This is a movie of my daily trek from the house to school. I hope you appreciate the peril it put my camera in... I am a true journalist. The babble is that of a true radio DJ... just filling the time, ha!

This is the classroom that I have been decorating with my fellow teacher. Her name is Claudia, and she is very sweet. I am glad to be working with her this year.

The lovely flag of Honduras, as well as their founding fathers, national flower, bird, mammal, seal, hymn, and tree! Very patriotic.

Honduras!

Hello everyone!
Well, here I am in Honduras at last! It is my second full day of experiencing the culture here. I can´t say yet that I am having a blast, but it has been very new and interesting. Kandice, Sasha, and I are all in the same house across the street from the other girls house. We do not have air conditioning. We are currently going through orientation to learn how to teach... I am feeling very overwhelmed with all that they are telling us, as I am teaching 6th grade math, bible, phonics, and spelling and I am supposed to have a class plan for the entire year for each subject! We have a running tally of the cockroaches killed in our house so far... 13 to date. It is not killer hot at the moment, but that all changes hourly. I appreciate everyone´s prayers. Please keep the emails coming as well. I miss you all and love you very much! I will post pictures when I get internet in our house.
